Horses, Cattle, Dogs, Pigs, Goats and Sheep.

DESCRIPTION:

Imidocarb Dipropionate is a compound of the diamidines group and the carbanilides group with a powerful antiprotozoal action.

DOSE AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:

  • Cattle: 1ml every 40 kg of body weight, subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
  • Horses: 1ml every 20 kg of body weight, intramuscularly.
  • Sheep and Goats: 1ml every 70 kg of body weight, subcutaneously.
  • Dogs: 1 ml every 12 kg of body weight, intramuscularly or subcutaneously. In this species the subcutaneous route and dilutes the amount of the product to be administered in saline serum is recommended.
  • Pigs: 1ml every 16 kg of body weight subcutaneously.
  • Repeat dosage with an interval of 14 days if necessary.
  • Intramuscular or subcutaneous administration, as species.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • The margin of safety and effectiveness of response may vary in puppies and pregnant or nursing females.
  • Do not administer in animals with liver, kidney and/or lung problems.
  • Treated animals may show slight cholinergic signs, which are transient as salivation, lacrimation, and colic. These are controlled by the administration of Atropine.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

  • Do not administer in animals under treatment with other cholinesterase inhibitors, anthelmintic or insecticides organophosphates, since the Imidocarb, it is also a cholinesterase inhibitor.
  • Do not use intravenously.

WITHRAWAL PERIOD:

Meat: 90 days.
